Early in the process of building a passive house I was impressed with the custom design work of PDS. When I got a preview of the PDS stock house plans my family found a home that met our design budget and offered much of what we sought in a custom home: thoughtful design, careful use of space, and a contemporary look matched with traditional lines that settles the house into the rural landscape. Since moving in my family has been very pleased with the comfort and efficiency of our passive house, something we will certainly enjoy for many years to come.~ Nathan Bald
By minimizing wasted space, being deliberate with window design, and using a simple rectangular form, North Glen is one of our lowest cost per-square-foot plans.
When factoring in mortgage and energy costs combined, this house will cost less to own and operate than a standard code-built house of a similar size.
Four bedroom North Glen Passive House features:
- The flexibility to add a garage, basement, or screened porch.
- A bright, open-concept kitchen and living/dining area.
- A first-floor half bath and bedroom that can serve as a TV room or as a sleeping space.
- Three bedrooms, a bathroom, and a laundry room on the second floor.
Energy Usage - 28,832 kWhrs/year
